Nutrition Educator & Personal Health Concierge

My Approach

Does stress at your job or in your relationship cause you to eat unhealthy? Does lack of sleep or low energy prevent you from exercising? I practice an integrative approach to health and wellness as all areas of your life are connected. Instead of prescribing one fix for all people, I use a personalized, whole person approach based on your needs. As we work together, we look at how all parts of your life affect your health as a whole. As your Food Educator or Wellness Guide as well as supportive mentor, together we work to achieve your goals in areas like: weight management, food cravings, sleep & energy balance.

You will develop a deeper understanding of the foods and lifestyle choices that work best for you and implement lasting changes that will improve your energy, balance and health. "Bio-individuality" is how each person has her or his own food and lifestyle needs. One person’s food is another person’s poison; this is why fad diets fail in the long run. I’ll support you in making positive changes that are based on your unique needs, lifestyle, personal preferences, and background.

I have worked with Florida Children's Museum (formerly known as Explorations V Children's Museum) for years now sharing nutrition and cooking with the children as their in-house Nutrition Educator. I am proud to volunteer at Lakeland Volunteers In Medicine (LVIM) as their Nutrition Educator. Whether helping a patient with diabetes, weight loss or other health issues - I love educating, supporting and challenging them as they work towards optimum health. I teach a Cooking Enrichment class at Academy Prep Lakeland, were I share nutritional information while the class cooks & enjoys their dish. I also provide my clients with Nutrition Education through 1 on 1 sessions.

Everything is nourishment - we are not only fed by food but by: healthy relationships, a fulfilling career, regular physical activity and a spiritual practice are essential forms of nourishment.

When these “primary foods” are balanced, what you eat becomes secondary.
